IESA State Meet

WOW! What a weekend. Congratulations to all who traveled with us this weekend. Way to represent Edwardsville!

The Girls team finished 13th and Boys finished in 12th place.

Adding Names to the Record Books

Alex Wever became only the second Edwardsville middle school girl to earn All-State honors with her 23rd place finish with a time of 12:36. This is the second fastest time by any Edwardsville girls runner at the state meet. Garrett Sweatt followed up Alex Wever's performance to became only the second Edwardsville middle school boy to earn All-State honors with his 8th place finish with a time of 11:01. This is fastest time all time for any middle school boy competing at State and the best position (boys and girls) all time as well. You two are in rare company.

Congratulations to the Liberty Girls team on their 9th place finish. The highest team finish for any Edwardsville middle school cross country team.

Many runners ran quality races. Brendan Colligan and Briana Chamberlain were just outside of All-State honors. To see the results, go to www.iesa.org.

Thanks to all of the runners on a wonderful season. I am proud of all of you.
